Talented character actress Gabby Sanalitro takes a break from her usual Hollywood adventures to appear in director Erik Larson’s new series of short films entitled “Door Mat.”
Gabby was spotted for the first time on stage by Erik in the show “Vampire Lesbians of Sodom,” and soon after he got the opportunity to work with her when she agreed to a supporting role in his 1996 comedy “Lost.” Gabby made an unforgettable debut, and was an instant fan favorite.
She followed that up with the role of wicked pimp Mrs. Schnitzel in “Meter Girls,” even getting her own song in the cult film. Soon afterward she departed for sunny California to pursue her dreams of stardom.
Now residing in Los Angeles, Gabby continues to split her time between stage work, film (“The Kid & I,” “Everybody Wants to Be Italian”), television (“The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” “Mind of Mencia,” “Criminal Minds,” “Strong Medicine”), and she has appeared in music videos by the likes of Enrique Iglesias and Blondie (“Good Boys”).
Gabby gladly joined the cast when her pal Erik wrote the role of Starlette just for her in the “Door Mat” series of short films. As always, she brought her consummate professionalism to the set, and a unique interpretation of the role which is sure to have her fans rolling with laughter.
