Stage and screen comedic actor Tony Pinizzotto brings his good guy persona to an episode of director Erik Larson’s new series of short films entitled “Door Mat.”
Tony has spent the past several decades carving out a variety of characters on stage... from musicals (as Nathan Detroit in “Guys and Dolls,” Sancho in “Man of La Mancha,” “Phantom,” “A Christmas Carol,” “The Music Man,” “Lucky Stiff”) to heavy drama (Alan in “Equus,” “The Wake of Jamie Foster,” “Lucia Mad”) to the decidedly offbeat (as a creepy older brother in “Gothmas”), Tony has never been one to shy away from a challenging role.
Onscreen, he has appeared in bit parts in “The Aviator,” “Hollywood Homicide” and “Yes, Dear”; he has had featured or starring roles in commercials, and he recently stole the show as a snippy camp counselor in director Mike Doyle’s send-up of “Friday the 13th” movies entitled “Being Jason.”
Tony has been instrumental behind the scenes of the LarsErik Film Productions the past decade and a half, working everything from sets to publicity, as well as jumping in front of the camera for roles in “Lost,” “Meter Girls” and the “Door Mat” series.
Tony plays Doreena’s son Hank in “Door Mat: Crazy Love” and brings his patented lovable charm to the role.
